Evidence per field

Hardware records now associate individual fields with manufacturer, calculated, editorial or unknown status. Unknown values have null URLs. Derived WhatsMiner power remains separate from direct manufacturer power. Reference review dates are preserved from the initial sourcing; they are not automatically updated by a build.

Manufacturer specifications

Each ASIC record links to an official Bitmain document or the MicroBT WhatsMiner catalogue. A record represents one hashrate bin, not every device sold under the same name. Source dates record a review of that reference, not the product release date. Unverified release dates, dimensions, noise and weights remain null.

Calculated values

Electricity, heat, airflow and financial outputs are produced by published formulas. Where the WhatsMiner catalogue supplies hashrate and J/TH without separately verified wall power, power is derived as hashrate × efficiency and labelled calculated. This is a nominal estimate; use metered values for operational planning.

Network snapshots

A live snapshot must supply price in USD/BTC, difficulty, network hashrate in hashes/second, subsidy and estimated fees in BTC/block, a UTC timestamp and HTTPS source URLs. Snapshots older than one hour or more than one minute in the future are rejected. Pages revalidate every five minutes; clients also suppress snapshots that have aged beyond one hour while a page remains open. Failure leaves costs usable and revenue unavailable.

Development demonstration

MOCK DATA is a fixed software test fixture. It is neither a quotation nor an observation of the network. It is disabled by default and cannot be used by the production provider. There is no automatic fallback from live data to mock figures.

Field-level provenance

Each field has an evidence status, source URL and checked date. Unknown fields have null source URLs. Manufacturer values, derived calculations and editorial notes stay distinct. The phase 2 review preserves the original source dates; it does not claim a new manufacturer verification.
